Hershey is a three year old bundle of happiness who wants to be with his people as much as possible! Hershey is completely house and crate trained. His favorite toys are ropes, tennis balls and anything with a squeaker. Hershey is continuing to learn how to behave in a house. He is able to sit on command and understands the command “off.” He is currently working on learning to stay which, is especially important because he will dart out the door if given the opportunity. Hershey becomes very excited when it is time to go for a walk, he has a habit of pulling but with practice will improve. He does exhibit a prey drive and would need to be in a home without cats. He is submissive to our older male GSP and gets along with our two small dogs. His favorite things are being snuggled, running zoomies in the backyard, and playing with toys. Hershey is heartworm positive and has already begun treatment. (His treatment will consist of one topical treatment a month for a year then he will be retested which will all be covered by the rescue. There are no strict activity restrictions with this type of treatment which is one of the main reasons we choose to use it.)
