Birdie is a sweet senior with wonderful house manners. She is about 11 years young. Birdie loves the outdoors and visits the dog park on most days. She enjoys hiking and watching the wildlife and is good on a leash/harness. She can be trusted when left at home alone, and she thrives on routine and predictability. She is house trained. We do not crate her but do use the crate during storms because Birdie gets anxious when it’s loud (nothing a trazadone pill can’t fix). Birdie has learned not to guard her food and not to snap at other dogs, and she gets along with another pointer, a shepherd mix, and a shi-tzu in her current foster home. Birdie takes correction well and is never aggressive. She is an easy-going, eager to please, and affectionate pointer. She learns quickly and knows what’s expected of her. She is a perfect companion for someone who is looking for a calm pointer that still likes outings and long walks and hikes. She loves human attention and big plushy dog beds.
