Laroux (Monroe, LA)

Laroux is a 3½ year old female GSP in rescue due to her owner’s death. She’s a beautiful solid liver with white ticking on chest, tail, toes and left front stocking. Loves people and is very affectionate. Loves to cuddle and get her head rubbed.   She wants to be involved with absolutely everything her people do.  She gets along well with other dogs, comes when called and is house, leash and crate trained. However, she has not been introduced to small children or cats. Laroux can open doors with French handles, so if left unlocked, she will let herself out in the back yard to potty. If the door is locked, she rings the doggie bell to be let out. She’s a ‘foodie’ and thus a bit of a counter surfer. Still, as a true epicurean, she sits when a treat is offered and has shown no food aggression when getting treats with the other pups. She is self-entertaining playing with toys and balls loving to throw them up in the air and is particularly impressive when tossing her 5-foot squeaky snake in the air. She greets new people well and doesn’t jump up. She enjoys going on walks and riding in the car.  So, if you are wanting to open your home to Laroux, she is ready to steal your heart. 

Laroux is light Heartworm positive and will need an adopter that will continue bi-weekly treatment provided by the rescue.
