Libby (New Braunfels)

Libby is a sweet, snuggly mama who’s done an amazing job raising her 11 beautiful puppies — and now it’s finally her turn to be spoiled!

This gentle girl is a true couch potato who loves cuddles, naps, and being near her people. She needs a home without cats but is dog friendly.

Libby is house trained and can be trusted to roam freely in the home even when you’re gone — she doesn’t chew or destroy anything, just lounges around waiting for her next belly rub (and occasionally hides and hoards all the toys in the house). She loves her outdoor adventures, though she could use a little work on not pulling (she just gets so excited to explore!).

She’s a bit protective of her food, so separate feeding times or spaces are best, and she could benefit from training on basic commands — she’s eager to please but likely was never taught any commands prior to coming into the rescue. She responds well to an e-collar (only using the tone, no vibrate or shocking necessary). She will always let you know when someone is at your door or in your house, and although she might have a mean bark, she has ZERO bite and will only attack people with love and affection.

After raising 11 pups, Libby’s ready to trade in the mom life for soft beds, long walks, and endless love. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and easygoing companion, Libby’s your girl!
