Past
Marty’s story starts alongside his buddy Doc, living life with a pack of other dogs. While that life gave him canine social skills, it didn’t give him much one-on-one attention from humans. Enter foster care—where Marty is getting the love, soft beds, and safe routines he deserves. 

Present
Right now, Marty is under heartworm treatment, which means his world is intentionally
calm—short potty breaks, plenty of naps, and lots of mental stimulation in the safety of a fenced yard. Don’t let his “take it slow” chapter fool you, though—this boy is spunky. He’s built low to the ground with a little swagger in his step, loves to sniff every inch of the yard, and will happily plop down in the grass to watch the world go by. Indoors, his favorite thing is snuggling right up next to you—couch, bed, doesn’t matter. He’s learning the rhythms of home life and clearly loves being part of the pack.

Future
Marty’s dream home will have a patient, present human—ideally someone who works from
home or is around most of the day. He thrives on companionship and mental stimulation, so puzzle toys, sniff walks, and little training sessions will keep that curious mind happy. A calm, friendly resident dog (maybe even his best buddy Doc) would be a bonus, but not required. Once his heartworm treatment is complete, his energy will pick up—and you’ll get to see even more of that fun-loving, adventurous personality shine.
