Meet Max 🤍

Max is a 5–7-year-old sweetheart with the softest soul and the biggest heart for his people. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who just wants to be near you—whether that’s curled up on the couch or following you from room to room—Max is your guy. He absolutely lives for snuggles and will happily soak up all the love you have to give.

Max has been wonderful with other dogs in his foster home. He’s very gentle and easygoing, more of a “go with the flow” kind of pup. He’ll join in play when he’s in the mood but is just as content relaxing nearby. He’s also a quiet boy who rarely barks and is fully house trained. An easy addition to a calm home.

Max does have a few quirks that make him special. He experiences occasional moments where he becomes focused on the ground, likely due to a neurological or vision-related issue. The good news is he responds well to being redirected and comes out of it quickly with a little guidance.

He’s also very enthusiastic about going outside—think “kid running to the ice cream truck” level of excitement! Because of this, he can get a bit unaware of his surroundings in those moments, so a home without small children (or with older, dog-savvy kids) would be the best fit for him.

Max has had a bit of a sensitive appetite, but he’s recently had dental work done, and we’re hopeful that will help him feel more comfortable and interested in food. He officially tested heartworm negative!

Max would truly thrive in a home that can give him a little extra patience, understanding, and lots of love. In return, he’ll give you his whole heart. He’s the kind of dog who forms a deep bond with his people and once you’re his, you’re his forever.
