Meet Miss 3 year old, Nova! Doing wonderful in foster care. She’s a petite girl at just 42 lbs. Loves dogs, kids of all ages, including a newborn, and very cat friendly! She just loves everyone and everything. She apparently lived most of her life outside, so she’s not one for wanting to be outside very long unless it’s to do her business. If she is outside, she will not leave your side for long to make sure you’re still there. I work from home so she lays at my feet all day with outside playtime throughout the day. Her safe space is her crate, which she absolutely loves. She has been fine with thunderstorms, she’ll just put herself in her crate to hang out, or will just lay on the couch with you. She puts herself to bed at night in her crate or her designated recliner, and will sleep in as long as you want. She’s one of the more Velcro dogs that I’ve ever fostered. If I am not with her, she is by my other GSP, Rip’s side. She has very good house manners. Potty trained, fully vetted, heartworm negative. She is not a fence jumper or a digger. She is great off leash, but until we trusted her off leash, we did use a toning collar which she responded well to and we never had to use anything but the “buzz” to see how she did; she just wants to be by your side. She rides great in a car (just lays down) and is perfect at the vet. She loves her treats and toys, albeit she can be a bit destructive with them, so she needs the tougher ones or she will shred the little ones .leaving the fluff everywhere. We also provide her with bully sticks during the day which she loves. We’ve had her since early July so we’ve gotten used to leaving her out in the house while we go anywhere on the weekends, sometimes for hours at a time, with no issues at all. She does not bark at all, and walks well on a leash! Her forever family will be so lucky to have her!!!!!
