Pepper is a calm, loving, and very well-mannered girl. She is estimated to be 1.5-2 years old. She is happy to be independent but also wants to be with you when she can. She does not show signs of separation anxiety at all. She loves pets and will kindly ask for more if you stop. Though she is young, she acts much older and is very calm with spurts of silly play time when she feels like it. She is fully potty trained, loves her crate, and does not jump, bark excessively, or chew things. She sticks right by your side on walks and has excellent leash manners. She was surrendered to a local shelter on claims that she killed chickens and was nervous around younger children, so a home with older/no children and no access chickens will probably be the best fit for her. She does not like other dogs coming near her while she is eating, but as long as they are respectful of her space, she does perfectly fine and has not overreacted other than a calm warning growl. She has done very well interacting with other male and female dogs. She is dearly loved in her foster home and would make an incredible companion for the right home.
