Ripp is about 2.5 years old and excited and ready to go home with you!

This sweet fellow loves attention and having pets from you.  He is a pretty easy keeper for a younger GSP.  When we brought him home to foster a few weeks ago, he adjusted quickly to a loud house with small children and a cat.  He walks well on the leash and is crate trained (we tried a wire one and he seemed to know what it was).  He enjoys having a nice bed in his crate and keeps it tidy.  You might call him a hoarder because he drags all his toys into his crate for safe keeping.  He seems to enjoy having his space and chooses to sit in his crate with his toy pile and the door open rather than the dog bed by our reading nook.

Ripp is housetrained, but if you ignore his cues, he's not going to cross his legs and wait for you to notice.  This adorable black and white boy is learning basic commands.  He would benefit from clicker training and is highly treat motivated.  He loves his food, but has shown no resource guarding tendencies towards humans nor cat.  The shelter he came from reported he is good with other dogs and he has met them on walks.  He has not yet had a chance with us to play off-leash with another dog.  We have noticed that he doesn't care too much about squirrels or birds—when they are on the ground he points, but then they go up the tree or fly off any he goes about his business.  Recently, we saw an wild bunny; that was really exciting and he wanted to chase it, for sure.  He does not show signs of door dashing or escape behaviors.  We've done baths a few times and he is very easy.  He doesn't seem to have any areas of sensitivity on his body.
