This handsome boy is approximately 1 to 2 years old, weighs about 50 pounds, is up to date on his vaccinations, and has received a clean bill of health.

He is a smart, people loving dog who wants nothing more than to be close to his person. He is definitely a “Velcro dog” and will happily follow you around and stay by your side. He already knows several commands, including sit, shake, lie down, and come. He also loves playing fetch and knows how to bring back and drop the ball.

Water is another favorite, he loves it and is a great swimmer! He has also shown some natural bird dog instincts and knows how to flush birds, although he has not been observed pointing.

He does well around other dogs and has remained non reactive even when another dog has challenged him, but he definitely prefers being the center of attention. Because he has a high prey drive, a home without cats would be best.

He is house trained and incredibly intelligent. His future family should be aware that he does show resource guarding around food and toys, so he will need to be fed separately from other pets and would benefit from a home willing to continue working with him on this behavior.

Overall, he is an affectionate, loyal, fun loving dog with so much potential. He would thrive with someone looking for an active companion who also wants a devoted best friend by their side.
