Raven is approximately 6 months old. She is spayed, UTD on her vaccines, and is HW negative.
Raven is an adorable, beautiful, sweet, girl with a little bit of sassiness. She is a typical puppy—playful, active, loves to play fetch and tug of war, loves playing in the water, and is now swimming. She loves exploring the yard and you can count on it that she will find a big stick to bring into the house.
Cuddle time and belly rubs are a must with her— she is a great snuggler!
Raven has learned a lot since coming to me but still has things to learn. She knows the words sit, no, potty outside, and night-night. Riding in the car is no problem. Potty training has been great and she has had only 2 accidents in the house. She is crated when no one is home and does fine and she does great in the crate all night which is usually 9:45-6:30am. There have been two times when she has cried around 3am and needed to potty but then went right back to sleep once back in her crate.
Raven is still figuring out what she can and cannot play with and we are continuing to work on her manners. She loves to steal shoes, socks, clothing, towels hanging on the dish washer — she needs to be watched at all times (typical puppy). Raven loves to play with other dogs but can be a bit too eager and aggressive for some. My 3 females really don’t play with her much and will put her in her place when she tries to play with them— her approach is a little too much for them. My male Bohdi, is younger and does play with her but also gets frustrated sometimes with her eagerness and aggressive style of playing. She is learning how to take it down a couple notches—playing in a more gentle way, and knowing when to stop.
I feel Raven would do best in a home where someone is home most of the time and someone who can put the time and energy into working with her.
She loves all people but due to her aggressive type of playing, younger kids may not be ideal. She is learning every day and I do feel she will come to understand how to play nice and what is and what is not acceptable behavior. Raven needs to know who is the boss and needs someone who is stern but loving and someone who is very consistent.
